A La Carte menu: Activities around Saraburi and Khao Yai National Park

The programme is flexible and can be tailored to your wishes.

We can provide a fully catered trip with transport and accommodation bookings, or you can choose just to enjoy our amazing activities and really make the most of your visit to a real adventure playground and Thailand's first UNESCO world heritage centre and premier National Park.

Option 1  Half day, full day or 2 days with an ovenight stay in a National Park bungalow.

Trekking through Khao Yai National Park. We will arrange National Park rangers and guide you through some of the best trails in the Park. Home to roughly 2,500 plant species and over 800 animal species, including wild Asian elephants, gaur/banteng, and various hornbills and with 2 spectacular waterfalls. Hornbills, gibbons, elephants and monkeys are amongst animals often seen on the trail. Night safari available.

Option 2 Kayak journey down the Pasak river. Half or full day, The river meanders through limestone country through gorges, and past sandy beaches, a fruit bat colony, the occasional monitor lizard, freshwater springs and wooded river banks populated by a huge variety of birds. There is no white water, just a smooth and powerful current pulling you along making for easy paddling on our big and stable two-person sit-on-top kayaks.

Option 3. Half day. Rock climbing and abseiling at Petcharat Camp. Our own steel-bolted climbing area on sound limestone rock offers a variety of short, top roped climbs and a  thrilling abseil through a pothole into a cave. This activity can be expanded into a full day exploring the caves and hikes through the area or by learning to cook in bamboo over an open fire with our jungle cooking activity.

Option 4. Hike to a waterfall and swim. Half day. Two options, an easy circuit along the river bank and a swim with lifeguards on duty at the popular Jed Sao Noi waterfall National Park near Muak Lek or a proper hike to the Jedkod Yai waterfall with a big plunge pool surrounded by forest.

Option 5 Cave exploration. Half day. The Wat Tham Photisat cave system has caves at 3 levels. The top two are dry with the top one containing a shrine with an ancient Buddhist relief rock carving on the wall. The lowest one will have a stream during periods of heavy rain and may retain pools of water during the rainy season but goes right through the mountain for 1.5 km to emerge in a spectacular valley 40km from the start by road. All 3 caves have magnificent flowstone formations and are big enough to walk through standing up with no tight squeezes or sections requiring crawling. Can be expanded to a full day with a hike through the valley after the cave through the mountain.

Option 6. Khorat Geopark. Half day. Prehistoric rock paintings and crazy sandstone towers and slot canyons. A gentle circular hike along the forested hillside above the Lam Takhong reservoir in an area which has been inhabited for thousands of years. Ancient and more modern artifacts carved into the wind and water sculptured rocks. As an afternoon activity this can be combined with watching the emergence of a million bats from a nearby cave at dusk.

Option 7. White water raft/kayak on the Muak Lek river. Half day. This is a high adrenaline activity shooting the falls and rapids on the Muak Lek river. It needs the right water conditions and is at its best early in the rainy season bfore the water in the reservoir gets too high. Safe and stable 2/3 person inflatable kayak style rafts allow you to negotiate the rapids of this pretty river with a low risk of a capsize and swim. You can safely paddle yourself or have a guide help you if you prefer.
